Fall Planting

There are two major planting seasons in Louisiana - Fall & Spring.

We are currently in prime fall planting season. What does this mean for you? It means it’s time to swap out your spring/summer annuals for fall/winter annuals. It means it’s time to replace any plants that might’ve died or been damaged from the summer heat. It means it’s time to plan those trees you’ve been wanting.

Fall’s milder temperatures and rain make for perfect planting conditions. Do be sure you still adequately water the plants, as we typically have temps in the 90s until November. New plants always need regular watering – especially in Louisiana.

Be sure you hire a licensed horticulturist, like us here at Quality Landscape, otherwise you might end up with plants that won’t do well in your beds.
